Before you start this anonymized survey
Voluntary Consent. You are being asked to volunteer for a research study. It is up to you whether you choose to participate or not.
Purpose. The purpose of this
anonymized survey is to understand 1) the frequency and scale of distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, 2) the DDoS defense methods commonly used by the edge network operators, and 3) the capability of the defense methods.
Duration. This survey should take you 3 to 10 minutes to finish.
Procedures and Activities. You will be asked to finish a list of multiple-choice questions with regard to DDoS attack and defense.
Benefits. We will compile the responses and make the compiled data available to the public. This survey is part of our on-going research project. In the end of this project, we will release our research paper that includes the estimated damage of this attack, as well as the defense suggestions for the network operators.
