Business Purpose: The Association of Western States Folklorists (AWSF) is an affinity group of public folklorists practicing in the western states. We meet annually to advance regional collaboration projects, to share best practices emerging in the field, and to offer professional development workshops on such topics as field photography, video recording, radio production, writing, website development, and other subjects relevant to the field. Our conference includes a day-long field trip called The Graze, which involves local heritage tourism to local folk artists and organizations, cultural sites, and foodways. This is our 36th conference.
