Student Orientation Programs offers current UO students employment opportunities on five separate staffs. This application provides students an opportunity to apply for any or all of the staffs. While the student staffs utilize a common application, each staff hires at different times throughout the year and for different durations.
 
Staff Descriptions
 
Student Orientation Staff (SOSers): SOSers serve as official hosts to new students and their families during IntroDUCKtion sessions. Their primary goal is to introduce new students and their families to the resources that help create smooth transitions to the university. SOSers work as a team focused on small group facilitation. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 8 credits during the academic year to be eligible.

New Student Experience & Activities Team (NSEAT): The New Student Experience & Activities Team (NSEAT) plays a key role in the overall operations and success of the IntroDUCKtion new student orientation experience. In this role, staff will be responsible for aspects of the on-campus housing experience while incoming students are participating in orientation. Housing is provided for this position during IntroDUCKtion. 

Ambassadors and Multicultural Recruiters: The Ambassador Program is the University of Oregon's primary student recruitment team. Ambassadors conduct tours and other recruitment activities for prospective University of Oregon students. Ambassadors are often the first contact prospective students and their families have with the UO.
 
Student Operations and Administrative Resources (SOAR) Team: SOAR provides a welcoming experience for campus visitors and guests by creating memorable interactions and moments in the Student Welcome Center and during Student Orientation Program events. SOAR supports all logistics and operations of the department, including administrative functions, such as phone calls, emails, and text messages.
